Description

The Mach-DSP Plus is the newest generation of Pangolin’s DSP-based servo drivers. It has the same size and all of the same great features of the original Mach-DSP, but features a new position signal processor with high-resolution data converters, and a new power supply architecture that allows operation between 15 and 24 volts without retuning. The new position signal processor provides a dramatic reduction in position signal noise, thus delivering a more stable beam with very low dither

Features of the Mach-DSP Plus Servo Driver

  • The Mach-DSP Plus can be accessed using a PC-based Graphical User Interface software package (via a built-in USB-C port) that can be used to monitor and adjust more than 50 performance parameters per axis, and supports PD, PID, PDF, and PDFF servo control laws.
  • The software includes a built-in Test Pattern Generator, an Oscilloscope, and a Dynamic Signal Analyzer for diagnostics and performance analysis.
  • A new position signal processor with high-resolution data converters - offered in 18-bit or 20-bit versions - delivers a dramatic reduction in position signal noise for a more stable beam with very low dither.
  • In addition to traditional analog command input and analog position output, the Mach-DSP Plus includes two optically isolated TTL inputs and outputs, two serial ports, and six user-configurable analog outputs.

The Mach-DSP Plus was created with OEMs and developers in mind, offering a comprehensive yet flexible interface in the same compact, low-power package as the original Mach-DSP, small enough for manufacturers to build directly into the laser projector head alongside the scanners and power supply. Combined with ScannerMAX scanners, it delivers a level of speed, accuracy, and convenience previously unattainable in optical scanning, ideal for high precision material processing, optical layout templates, and optical coherence tomography.
